Social Studies 6

The study of early civilizations is important in order to have an understanding of our world today.  Early discoveries, inventions and accomplishments from Egypt, Greece, Rome, China, and India are amongst the Social Studies units.  Later time periods and civilization will also be explored.  Geography and map skills are an essential part of the program along with myths and story telling and architecture.

Literature 7

The prentice Hall Program offers traditional and contemporary literary selections.  These include short stories, drama, fiction and non-fiction, poetry, fables, legends, and myths.  Active reading and writing are a part of every session which are designed to develop reading comprehension and creative writing skills.
