A hot lunch program is available for the students on a daily basis. A menu for each month is sent home with the school newsletter a few days before the beginning of each month. The cost of a hot lunch (with milk or water) is $2.75. The cost of a hot lunch (with juice) is $3.05 (An Adult Lunch is $3.30). The cost of a second drink is 60¢. Each morning the classroom teachers will take a lunch count, which is sent to the office. A bill will be sent home on or before the 5th of the following month. This bill is to be paid by the 10th of that month. All late payments will result in an additional $5.00 charge to the account.

Beverages may be purchased by students who prefer to bring their own lunch to school at the cost of 60¢. (Please be reminded that students are not permitted to bring soda as part of their lunch.) Bills will be sent home as a part of the hot lunch bill as explained above.

Free or reduced lunches are available to families who meet the financial criteria established by the government. Forms for this program are sent home at the beginning of the school year. If the family financial situation changes during the year, applications for free/reduced lunches are again considered.

If a child forgets his/her bag lunch at home, please bring it to the office and it will be given to your child.

When there is a 2-hour delay in the start of school, the menu will include: Hot Dog, Vegetable, Fruit, Dessert, and Milk.

The Sacred Heart School Hot Lunch Program is a self-funded program that provides lunch daily for grades Kindergarten through Eight and our Staff. The Federal and State Government under the National School Lunch Program govern our program. Strict guidelines are followed and updated yearly as provided by the United States Government.

Our program is unique and we are proud to say that we "Have the Best Lunches in the Diocese".  All our food is prepared fresh daily on site and home baked goods are provided for dessert.

The Hot Lunch Program always needs volunteers to keep our lunch periods running smoothly and to keep our operating costs down.  If you can spare any time during the day  between 11AM and 1PM and would like to volunteer, please contact Mrs. B. at the school office.

We are blessed to have the following "lunch ladies" on our staff:

Mrs. Lorraine Bonfiglio, (or "Mrs. B" as known by our students) – Food Service Director
Mrs. B. was a licensed Registered Nurse for many years before coming to Sacred Heart School.  She has been on staff in the program for eleven years and the director for eight years.  She continues her education for the lunch program by attending seminars and classes given by the State Department of Education.

Mrs. Ronnie Kelly – Baking Director
Mrs. Kelly has been working part time in the program for the past twelve years.  Ronnie is always coming up with new desserts and ideas.

Mrs. Chris Geonnotti – Baker
Mrs. Geonnotti has been working part time for eight years in our program.

Mrs. Judy Macknis – Cook
Mrs. Macknis had been volunteering in our program for many years and joined our staff six years ago. She currently has one child in our school.

Mrs. Lucy Silfies – Cook: Mrs. Silfies previously worked in our lunch room and pre-school. She joined our staff three years ago.
