Technology Education

We are fortunate to have 16 computers which we use for all sorts of projects, as well as an interactive whiteboard and projector. Each grade meets weekly with me, and the lab is also used by other teachers throughout the week, as it fits into their lesson plans. We follow the Technology Skills guideline from the Diocese which covers skills from General Hardware to Social and Ethical Practices. As with Library Skills, Technology Skills are taught in conjunction with the classroom curriculum.

Our desire is that each student in our school, as well as each staff member, will get an appreciation of the power of technology in their lives. I want the Computer Lab to be a “fun” experience … my hope is that everyone who visits our lab will leave the room having one more piece of knowledge than he had when he entered, and that technology will facilitate their learning.
