Technology Education

Each grade meets once weekly for a Technology class in the computer lab and the lab is also used by other teachers throughout the week, as it fits into their lesson plans. Technology is also incorporated into individual classroom lessons through the use of iPads, Chromebooks and interactive white boards.

We follow the Technology Skills guideline from the Diocese which covers skills from General Hardware to Social and Ethical Practices. As with Library Skills, Technology Skills are taught in conjunction with the classroom curriculum.

Our desire is that each student in our school, as well as each staff member, will get an appreciation of the power of technology in their lives. The goal is for the Computer Lab to be a “fun” experience … one where students learn new computer skills, internet safety , and technology that will facilitate their learning.
